Handle With Care

This training brings together experts to equip SROs with trauma-informed strategies, from understanding student behavior and crisis response to bullying prevention and post-incident support. The sessions emphasize real-world application and collaboration between schools, law enforcement, and mental health professionals to better support students exposed to trauma.

S.A.F.E.

This training session prepares SROs and school staff to successfully implement the S.A.F.E. program in their own schools, equipping them to teach situational awareness, personal safety, and confidence-building skills to young women. Participants will learn how to lead engaging, hands-on workshops that empower students through real-world scenarios, discussion, and practical strategies that foster both independence and a supportive peer community.

Tactical Gun Holster

SRO Room Clearing & Other Tactics

This training at Michigan City High School will equip SROs with critical response skills, including essential gear, medical interventions such as tourniquet use, tactical hallway movement, threshold evaluation, and post-engagement procedures. Designed for both solo responders and small teams, the session emphasizes practical, real-world application.

NASRO Training Opportunities

Three NASRO training courses will be offered at the Blue Chip in conjunction with the conference: Basic SRO, Advanced SRO, and School CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design). Register for the course directly through NASRO.

Basic SRO attendees receive complimentary admission to the Indiana School Safety Conference. Those who attend the Advanced SRO and School CPTED courses and wish to also attend the conference must purchase a NASRO Course Conference ticket.
